Below is the essence of the Grand Cardinal Cross that began in April 2014 – the energy has been running through our lives since then – you might enjoy a recap now that you can look it over in hindsight and put some pieces of the puzzle into place-enjoy!
The Goss’ on The Cardinal Grand Cross
The Great Cardinal Grand Cross – oooohhhh what fun! Its a biggun alright. Four planets (aka Masters of Change) perched at 13 degrees in each of the 4 Cardinal signs – reached their perfect positions …today. We have Uranus in Aries, Mars (R) in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn. (more of this later)
Cardinal energy leads the way, brings breakthrough and progress. A Grand Cross means that each of the 4 planetary players sits at the corner of a perfect square, also forming diagonal opposites across the square.
Energetically they are all straining taut with equal force on each other, creating extreme tension – just like ye old torture rack! With the centre being the point of eventual balance and the place where the tension needs to ‘give’. That centre is us, you and me. So – Fun times ahead!
As always with the big energy plays – some people will feel it more intensely than others depending on how this configuration connects to their birth energy (as shown in natal charts). Regardless there will be global ripples, wobbles and rip tides.
In practical speak, massive karmic tension and waves of global change have been building in intensity for some years, winding tighter and tighter.
But, rather than a spectacular shebang happening at the precise moment of the square – we’ll feel the tension, breakthrough and release ebbing and flowing over the next few months as we travel with eclipses and planetary jostling through to the last 2014 eclipse in October. At some point we will each feel pulled, poked and pushed by old stuff resurfacing and new stuff wishing to manifest.
Our perceptions, mindsets and ways of life will be challenged to change. Opportunities will abound – though not always wrapped in pretty packaging. Resistance, Acceptance, Grace, Patience, Frustration, Anger, Love, Awe, Fear, Courage, Clarity, Fog and all their friends are ready and willing to take the “driver’s seat” in your life. Check who’s got the wheel regularly – you can choose who drives and who changes gears at any point
The Wise Ones say: Breath. Allow. Feel. Listen. Accept. Assess. Act. Rest. Repeat.
Some will experience these energies quietly. Some will move through with drama, fireworks and extreme hoo haa – and many more, somewhere in between.
The key is whatever comes, flow with it, work with it – even when you’d rather ignore or avoid it.
And that’s why we need a spiritual first aid kit, so stock up for the journey – here’s my generic starter list: chocolate, wine, hammock, journal, crash helmet, life jacket, ipad, broccoli – you’ll need your vitamins – add on your bits here! Enjoy the ride!

Ms Full Moon gives us quite an emotional workout. We love to gaze into her hypnotic lunar glow and wash our crystals in her juicy goodness. She influences the tides of the ocean and the ebb and flow of our moods, especially at the peak of her full splendour. Its been well documented that more dramatic events occur on the full moon: more traffic accidents, babies born or mum’s in labour, emergency call outs, relationship fall outs, fights, violence and other nasties. Not so well documented, more falling in love, celebrations and other excitement too. I’ve heard some event planners say they avoid booking anything on the Full Moon as its too unpredictable and always drama filled. Whereas some choose the full moon because they want that element. Something to offer everyone!
December brings us Ms Full Moon in Gemini – here she is intellectual, curious, funny, quick witted, socially adept, talkative and a multi-tasking, master networker. Encouraging us to ‘look up’ from our focus, step out, connect more and enjoy all the variety that life has to offer. There’s usually a buzz of communication and activity that can leave the quieter souls in quite a head spin. Along with Sun (essence/will) + Venus (love/desire) + Mercury (communication) in Sagittarius, we’ll probably feel invincible and ready to conquer anything – useful if you want to power through the silly season to do list or similar.
Ms Moon will make a brief touch down with Chiron (karmic wound) which will press some buttons, but even if you feel a little spitty and mood swingy, accept some invitations and get amongst it.
The answer is within the question and the healing is always within the wound. Connection and communication rule this week.

Its a stormy, delicious day here in Adelaide, lots of rain, rumbling, crashing and flashing. A beautiful energy clearing as we cruise out of our 4 week visit to the dark side of our psyches, since the October New Moon eclipse in Scorpio – and toward the New Moon late tonight in magical, spontaneous Sagittarius, truth seeker and eternal optimist.
This will be a welcome energy shift from the wonderful, shadowy, wild and woolly tangles that have been messing with our comfort zones. All for our own good, as always. We may not have liked what we found in the shadows, but it was necessary and allows us to move into this next phase lighter and clearer in our intention.

Mischievous Mercury, Master of the mental plane has entered his retrograde period in the space of Scorpio.
While intuition and all things right brained, flourish in this phase – our rational, left-brain, controlled world is easily rattled and irritated by it – experiencing frustration, confusion and delays in all areas of communication, writing, commerce, planning and negotiating. And of course the effect on our tools of the trade, the ‘puters, phones and wireless, electronic world we rely on and love so much. No wonder there’s a clash!
With a lunar and solar eclipse thrown into the shadow mix, some long buried nuggets will surface. No doubt, we’ll be less than impressed with our first sighting, but stay with it, polish the rough and find the gold within.
Its the time to slow down and embrace the “re” process. Rethink, reconsider, review, renovate, reform, reinvent, recycle, restate, re-communicate, relapse, re-evaluate and the list goes on. Clear the mental filing cabinet (and your office) – Allow some slack for things to go offline and take a few spins through the universal chakra before coming to rest, right way up, at the end of the retro cycle.
You’ll emerge feeling lighter and brighter!
Meanwhile, breathe, laugh, yell, paint, dance, scribble, play, exercise, stock up on alcohol and chocolate. Commit to walking away from technology and meeting tables often, the beach is looking good!
Aim to work with it, rather than struggle against it.
